TMSV newsTrams in the Twilight a success!
The inaugural Bylands ‘Trams in the Twilight’ evening was held on 25 February 2006. Despite storms and lightning strikes delaying the start of the event, over 50 people attended to enjoy the novel sight of trams running at Bylands in the rain and dark of evening. Many photographs were taken, and our guests enjoyed the free sausage sizzle. Trams used were Ballarat 36 and ex-Melbourne cars 10W, W1 427, X1 467, SW2 644, W3 667 and W5 795. Peter Witt design car Y1 612 saw its first revenue service at Bylands. The obvious enjoyment of the attendees and the positive feedback received has ensured that this event will be a regular fixture on the Bylands calendar. |
